New Windsor School Vision - Growing confident learners together

Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Be the best you can be.

Whai koha Kawe haepapa, Hikina te maanuka

Welcome to New Windsor School,

I am pleased to share our school with you. One of the first things that you will notice as you walk into New Windsor School is the exciting melting pot of more than 20 different ethnic groups all sharing their cultures and learning together. Our children have a very beautiful setting for their learning, surrounded by native trees, and spectacular views of the Waitakeres. Our mission statement captures our approach to learning: To provide an exciting, caring and happy environment where children of all abilities can achieve their fullest potential and leave as confident lifelong learners. We expect that our children will be challenged as learners and that challenge will be across all areas of the NZ curriculum.

New Windsor School also values the partnership with our families and our school is characterised by the warm inclusive welcome that people often comment upon. We don’t always get it right but we are constantly looking for ways to improve this partnership and we are very responsive to your suggestions.

At New Windsor School we’re conscious that we are preparing our children for a world that will require courage, generosity, imagination, principle and determination; and as a result of developing the whole child, we are hopeful of graduating generations of responsible global citizens.

Glenn Bermingham
